What is Skin-Tech T.C.A. Peel 15%
Alpha Hydroxy Acid (A.H.A.) is a solution which, when
applied, creates a controlled shedding of several layers
of damaged skin. Any such solution is given the term,
A.H.A. Peel. This treatment exposes a new layer of healthier,
smoother, fresher skin.
What is Skin-Tech T.C.A. Peel 15% used for?
Every day, thousands of skin cells die and are automatically
replaced by new cells migrating from the lower layers
of our skin. As we age, this process slows down, and
a glue-like substance produced by those lower layers
binds the dead cells together on the surface of our
skin. This makes it impossible for our skin to automatically
shed those dead cells. The result is a dull, lustreless
complexion.
Because an A.H.A. Peel creates a controlled shedding
of those dead cells, the result is a fresher, smoother
and altogether healthier complexion. Because it also
promotes the growth of new cells, an A.H.A. Peel will
tighten and brighten the skin, giving it an altogether
'younger' appearance.
It is an ideal treatment for:
- age spots
- acne
- freckles
- a poor sluggish complexion
- weathered and sun-damaged skin
- hyper-pigmentation
- superficial scars
How long does the treatment take?
In order to achieve the best results, a full course
of treatment is spread over a 6-week period, with one
treatment per week. Each treatment takes approximately
30 minutes.
How long will the treatment last?
To maintain a healthy look, we recommend yearly treatments.
In summary
This treatment achieves excellent results, and treatment
may begin immediately after consultation.
While they improve at a slower rate than the face,
all areas of the body respond well to an A.H.A. Peel,
including the hands, arms, neck and chest.
Since the treatment does not permanently lighten the
skin, it is suitable for all skin types.
